The Ultimate Pot of Gold

It’s St. Patrick’s Day this weekend, and that means all things GREEN! Luckily for us, OMEGA Juicers sent me along these gorgeous green juice recipes. Best of all, they are Allergy-Friendly, and Gluten-Free. Instead of green beer, or artificially colored green cupcakes, how about sipping on an uber-healthy all natural green smoothie this year? Great for the kids, and packed with natural ingredients and essential nutrients to help keep you energized and healthy.

Juicing is a great way to take in valuable nutrients without having your body word hard to break down the fibers. Through juicing, the food value is readily available to your body in larger quantities then when you eat the fruit whole.  The benefits of consuming juiced fruits and veggies include keeping your heart, liver and kidneys strong and healthy.

Here are a few Green Juice recipes from OMEGA Juicers. To make these juices, just put the ingredients through your juicer and pour!

I have been doing a mix of kale, ginger, lemon, apple, and carrot of late and juicing is a lot of work! That said, I’ve tried juicing the night before I need the juice and it really tastes better fresh versus the next day. The color in these looks great! Kale is very dark juice-wise so I’ll have to try lighter greens too.

Yes, juicing is a lot of work, particularly when it comes time for cleanup. But I think it’s worth it. It’s so good!

    What an inspiring post!

Can’t wait to green up for St. Paddy’s Day, with a healthy alternative.

Have to try the Crazy Dublin, maybe with a touch of mint leaf. 🙂

These look so luscious and healthy! every morning my co-worker and best friend, Patti, brings me a shot of fresh wheatgrass. I used to be very resistant to it but now I miss it on the week ends when I don’t have it! I’ve got to change my ways if I want to stay healthy into middle age (ack!)
BTW I love this new look of the website… one thing that stands out is the store….not sure if its new but I never noticed it before. Its all very awesome 🙂

I LOVE green drinks. I make mine with a handful of kale, 1/2 frozen banana and 1/2 frozen kiwi or 1/4 frozen chopped apple and enough water/coconut water to taste. I’m allergic to pretty much every seasonal allergy (pollen, birch, grass etc.) so eating fresh fruit often causes an allergic reaction. (My doctor told me that when the fruit grows outside the pollen etc actually grows with it inside the fruit which is why I react). So a good way around it is to freeze or cook the fruit. So these smoothies are great way around my allergy beacause I freeze a batch of chopped fresh fruit and I can use them in my smoothies all week! The added bonus is that they come out nice and cold without needing ice 🙂

Your smoothies sound delicious. I like the idea of using coconut water. What a great addition! I’m going to try it. So, when you freeze fruit, you don’t react in the same way? That is very interesting. Thank you so much for your comment.

      all best,

      Cybele
