Allergy Friendly Friday 3/30/12

19

Dear Readers,

Linky is back on track. Thanks for your diligence with checking back to see when it was working. Let’s post EASTER and PASSOVER recipes this week, if you have them. If not, spring-themed is fine too.

I shot a pilot for PBS this past week in Albany, NY. It was so pretty, with all the forsythia in bloom, and the daffodils popping up. I had real nostalgia for living on the east coast.  Luckily, I will be in NYC again starting tomorrow, for the next week, where spring has definitely sprung.

Thanks for all your great recipes this past week. Please remember to link back here from your post so I can feature you!  This week’s Allergy-Friendly Friday roundup highlights were:

Please add your allergy-free and/or gluten-free recipe links to Allergy-Friendly Friday. PLEASE remember you have to link back from your post, for me to feature your recipe. That means link WITH A HYPERLINK THAT LINKS BACK HERE. When you link back to this post, you can share both your own and other’s fabulous allergy-friendly recipes. Am I repeating myself? 🙂 And remember, I specialize in creating gluten-free recipes that are free of the top 8 food allergens, but yours don’t have to be. They just have to be allergy-friendly in SOME way.

ALLERGY-FRIENDLY FRIDAY LINK GUIDELINES:  PLEASE READ!

  • Please LINK back to this post so that your readers can find ALL the recipes linked to here. This is a sharing page.
  • Link to your individual recipe post, NOT your homepage.
  • Recipes DO NOT have to be completely allergen-free, just  ALLERGY-FRIENDLY in some way.
  • When you link, let us know who you are. For example, I might add old fashioned gingersnaps (cybele @cybelepascal.com)

    Hello Cybele,

Congratulations on your pilot!! That is so exciting. We need more alternative cooking shows out there. How fun.

Thanks for featuring my sun dried tomato artichoke heart “pasta.” It’s my favorite lunch, so filling and so easy on my digestion.

This week I am sharing a creamy vegan roasted asparagus soup, complimented with lemon and thyme. I see that you also have a roasted asparagus soup! I found that roasting the veggies was really the best way to get all that great asparagus flavor (rather than boiling or sauteing) but one could really go either way. Roasting was just so easy. I’ve been on a real creamed soup kick lately.

Oh, and quick question. If my memory serves me, there was a 1 submission limit. Is this correct? I read over the guidelines a few times to double check the submission limit, but I must be missing it. Is it okay to add more than one? I have a great side dish for this soup and wanted to share it too.

    Thanks Cybele.

Have a great weekend. And again congratulations on your pilot!

    Be Well,
    –Amber

      Hi Amber:

Thanks for your support. It’s not that type of pilot, it’s a pledge drive pilot, for a half hour show about food allergies, with pledge drive pitches in between. Wish it was for a cooking show!

Yes, one per author. I think I took that out one time when the linky event was running for two weeks. should put it back.

      Thanks again!

      all best,

      Cybele

Thank you for highlighting my Bean Salad! This week I’ve shared a recipe for Roasted Hazelnut and Chocolate Chip Cookies! The chocolate, I hope, will fit with your Easter theme!

  6. Happy Spring Everybody! It is gorgeous here in AZ- we are supposed to hit 90 degrees today, but then it’s going to drop a bunch tomorrow for a day or two. My baking days are coming to an end soon I’m afraid! My boyfriend is talking about putting in an outdoor oven so I can continue baking for him during our summer heat- too funny!
Today I shared my recipe for Amaretto Muffins. These muffins taste incredible and are much healthier than the recipe that inspired me- Amaretto Pound Cake!
Thanks for hosting Cybele! Have a lovely weekend!

    Hi Cybele –

I linked up my Creamy Pesto “Pasta” with Spring Vegetables and Prosciutto. And this time I remembered the linkback! 🙂

Have a great weekend! It’s raining in SF, hopefully it’s sunny down south!

    Best,
    Danielle

Hi Cybele, it’s so nice to be back! You may not be making “that kind of pilot”, but I’m so glad to have someone as talented and professional as you representing the food allergy community. I hope you’ll let us know more when it’s released!
