THANK GOD IT’S ALLERGY FRIENDLY FRIDAY

(TGIAFF)

Happy April Fools Day, and Happy Allergy Friendly Friday!  The first day of April has always felt like the true beginning of spring to me.  I love spring, it’s my favorite season. It’s all about beginnings. The budding leaves are that “new” shade of green, and crocuses and daffodils make me grin.

In honor of spring having sprung, let’s devote Allergy Friendly Friday this week to spring recipes.  Anything having to do with spring, whether it’s Easter and Passover recipes, or ways to incorporate the lovely local strawberries that are starting to pop up at the farmers market.  Your recipe can represent whatever spring means to you, Allergy-Free.

And remember, I specialize in creating gluten-free recipes that are free of the top 8 food allergens, but yours don’t have to be. They just have to be allergy-friendly in SOME way.

Once again, the recipes from last Friday were all truly inspiring. A few of the highlights were:

  • Please LINK back to this post so that your readers can find ALL the recipes linked to here. This is a sharing page.
  • Link to your individual recipe post, NOT your homepage.

  2. Hi Cybele —
Lovely spring bulbs in your photo! In another week or so, we might see some here in NE Ohio — I am so ready, too!
Does Roast Chicken with Savory Vegetables sound like a spring meal? I hope so — especially if you subbed some spring onions and a couple of asparagus stalks for the onion and the celery. It is GF, CF, corn-free, dairy-free, egg-free, lactose-free, low-glycemic, nut-free, soy-free, sugar-free and yeast-free.
    Have a wonderful weekend–
    Pat

I posted a really super basic recipe but it was what I put up for Persian New Year (the first day of spring) so I thought it was fitting. It is just tomatoes and onions with equal parts of olive oil and lemon juice along with salt and pepper but it is my favorite salad.

The fries from last week look yummy! This week’s cauliflower recipe looks great too! I’ve made Blueberry Boy Bait with strawberries and it was wonderful.

  5. Hi Cybele! Thank you so much for featuring my Grape Crisp With Port Wine!
This week I am sharing my recipe for a super moist Coconut Cake that is GF and DF. It is made in your blender then you just add beaten egg whites and more coconut for texture. If you love coconut, you will love this cake!
    Thanks for hosting!

Now that I have time to sit and catch up on my reading, i see that you had requested spring dishes. Sorry for my very un-spring-like curry dish that I posted! lesson learned–no more rushed linkies 🙂
