Frigidaire Talk Turkey Round Table Save the Children Charity

Jennifer Garner swapped turkey tips with fellow moms/bloggers* in Los Angeles to launch Frigidaire’s new Range with Symmetry™ Double Ovens.

Last wednesday, I had the lovely privilege of joining Jennifer Garner, Suzanne Goin, and a select handful of super-powered Mom/Food Bloggers as we shared Thanksgiving traditions and recipe tips. This event was the launch of the new Frigidaire Gallery® Range with Symmetry™ Double Ovens that roasts two large turkeys at once. (plus it preheats in a mere 4 minutes, which I find jaw-droppingly-awesome) Check out Jennifer opening that drool-worthy oven below!  Can you imagine being able to do all your holiday roasting and baking at one time? And the great news is that  Frigidaire is donating $200 to Save the Children’s U.S. Programs for each new range purchased this holiday season. But WAIT, that’s not what this post is about! This post is about giving, not purchasing. The really really special news is that all you readers can help contribute to this charity, and enter the sweepstakes, all with the click of a button!

First, Frigidaire will donate 1 turkey gift certificate to Save the Children for distribution to a family in need each day you view Jennifer Garner’s turkey tips and register between 9/21/11 and 12/31/11. Gift certificate value $20.00 with a maximum donation value of $11,000.

Second, Frigidaire will donate $1 to Save the Children each day you view Jennifer Garner’s turkey tips and register between 9/21/11 and 12/31/11 with a minimum $38,000 and a maximum of $43,000, as part of their $500,000 commitment to Save the Children’s U.S. Programs.

Lastly, NO PURCHASE OR DONATION NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.  This is a charity event!  Sweepstakes ends 12/31/11.

Read on to watch the videos of our round table discussion, get Suzanne Goin’s very special Thanksgiving recipes, and see more of the amazing Jennifer Garner at http://www.maketimeforchange.com/talking-turkey-with-jennifer-garner.html  (I’m in the 4th segment called “Holiday Feel”) And remember, every day you watch these videos, Frigidaire donates a turkey gift certificate to a Save the Children family and 1$ per view to Save the Children, every single day all the way through to the end of the year. So watch the videos as often as possible, and please please share this post with your friends, via twitter, and on your facebook pages. Together we dan really make a difference in the lives of the 1 in 5 children suffering from hunger in the United States!

ps, have I mentioned how much I liked Jennifer Garner? She and I both share a Martha Stewart love, she’s kind to everyone, and she’s funny (major points!).  She is the real deal, if ever there was one.

Please note that Allergy Friendly Friday will be skipping a week (I’m going to Dallas tomorrow to speak at the Gluten and Allergen-Free Expo) so keep adding links to last Friday’s post, and I’ll pick highlights next week.

About Save the Children

Save the Children is the leading independent organization that creates lasting change for children in need in the United States and around the world.  In the U.S., Save the Children works to break the cycle of poverty and improve the lives of children by ensuring they have the resources they need – like access to a quality education, healthy foods and opportunities to grow and develop in a nurturing environment. When disasters strike, like hurricanes and wildfires, Save the Children is among the first on the ground ensuring the needs of children are being met. Save the Children’s early childhood education, literacy, physical activity and nutrition, and emergency response programs reached more than 78,000 children in the United States last year alone.
