Joy Bauer Food Cures Giveaway plus Slim & Scrumptious

Joy Bauer, the Nutrition Expert for the Today Show has generously offered to give away three copies of Food Cures, and three copies of her new book Slim & Scrumptious! That means three of my lucky readers will win a copy of each book! What a win, win! Food Cures is a must read, chock-full of advice about how to manage your health through your diet, with healing food choices.  She shares tips for how to manage diabetes, arthritis, migraines, extra weight, and so much more, through good nutrition.

Slim & Scrumptious is a cookbook full of streamlined healthy versions of all your favorite comfort foods, from mac n’ cheese, to waffles, to french fries.  See below for more info on both books.

So what do you need to do to enter the drawing for a chance to win TWO FREE BOOKS? Follow me on twitter, so you can continue to get updates about tips and recipes for those living with food allergies and intolerances, and also to learn about great opportunities like this one! For example, my next giveaway will be a mushroom growing kit, that will teach you how to grow fresh mushrooms year-round on recycled coffee grounds. Hi Cybele,

I’m already a fan of your page and would love for you to please add me into the drawing. I’m a huge fan of your and also a huge fan of Joy Bauer. I don’t have any of her books, and have been wanting to get them for some time now. I have severe anaphylactic food allergies to Peanuts/Tree Nuts, some tropical fruits, some seeds. I love the work you do and continue to do with Allergy Free cooking. Thanks so much and keep up the great work! I sure hope I win 🙂

I’ve been a fan of yours on FB for quite some time. I LOVE your cookbooks! My son has dairy, egg and nut allergies and I find myself always referring to your books for yummy recipes my whole family can enjoy. For a while I was checking (and re-checking!) your books out from the library, but I started feeling guilty so I finally bought them for myself. =) Sure my library appreciates that since I’m not the neatest cook in the kitchen!

Thanks so much. You might want to try this alternate GF flour mix that I came up with for readers who can’t eat rice. It works well in my recipes.

1 1/2 cups Garfava Flour (garbanzo fava bean flour mix)
    1/2 cup Sorghum Flour
    2 cups Tapioca Starch
    2 cups Arrowroot Starch

    Hope that helps!

I am a fan of yours on Facebook. I just got your book but have not had a chance to make anything yet. I have to stay away from sugar right now 🙁 I found out that I am allergic to the following foods this January. Eggs, dairy, corn, gluten, green peas, peanuts, soy, tomato, beef, orange, garlic, mustard, hazelnuts, cashews, walnuts and blue crab! On top of that list I have been struggling with Canadia. I would love to win the cookbook above. I need help!!! Thank you

Slipping in at the last moment to say I’m a fan. I’ve been checking in off and on for a while now and have finally made it official. 🙂 There have been various people at church the last few years that are gluten free or egg free and now a guy at work that’s diabetic and gluten free. It’s nice having a place to stop in and see what’s new in the world of allergy free cooking.
